In this guide I’ve covered quite a few subjects that new players should find interesting, such as crafting, how to make money, how banks work. I have not covered the very basics, like character classes, or other things that you learn while playing the tutorial quests. These tips and tricks are meant to cover areas that moey seasoned ESO players think are obvious, but most new players won’t ever hear about until much later in the game.
I have also added my own commentary and tips to each section, to help you out on your grand Elder Scrolls Online adventure! This item has been added to your Favorites. Created by. MoonlightDeity Online. Guide Index. Riding skills. Player housing.
Random tips. Once every 20 hours, if you own a mount, you can upgrade your riding skills at a stable available in most towns. It costs gold per upgrade, and you can upgrade each skill to a maximum of maing The skills are; staminaspeed and carrying capacity.
Stamina is the durability and health of your mount. It decreases when sprinting or when you are hit by an enemy. If you’re hit when your stamina is at 0, you will be dismounted. Increase stamina to be able to take more hits. Speed isn’t that hard to understand.
It determines the speed you move at while mounted. Especially useful for traveling monet large distances in Cyrodiil, where fast traveling is not always an option during a raid. Carrying capacity increases your inventory space with one slot per upgrade.
It stacks with bag upgrades bag merchants can be found in some major cities. A useful skill to have if you’re a crafter carrying lots of materials, or if you’re tired of eso beginers guide to making money to sell your hard earned loot to merchants in between every mission or dungeon you clear, because your inventory is always.
For PvP characters, I recommend upgrading your stamina first, and then vary between speed and carrying capacity. In most cities and larger towns you’ll find a bank. Your bank acts like guise external inventory, where you can deposit items and materials you wish to save but don’t want to carry on your character.
You can also deposit any of the different currencies, such as gold, alliance points and Tel Var stones. When crafting, materials in your bank show up in the crafting station, so you don’t need to visit the bank and withdraw the items. It’s possible to upgrade your bank space in the bank, for a larger sum of gold. Your bank is bound to your account, so all of your characters can use it. In the bank, you begihers also access the guild bank accounts owned by any and all of the guilds you are a member of, if they have enough members to begoners it Here you can deposit items and currency just like in your own bank, but it’s shared with all of your guild mates.
The guild leader decides who are able to deposit and withdraw from the guild bank, so make sure you check your es rules before you deposit.
Below the guild bank, you’ll find the guild store. It’s unlocked when a guild fo 50 members, and can be used to put up trade offers internally in the guild.
If the guild owns a guild trader check the ESO wikithe guild store offers will also be available for sale to the public, but they can’t sell their own items buide it. You can also trade with other guilds if you talk to their guild traders that are found in various places throughout Tamriel. Joining a guild is optional, but it’s always nice to play with friends, right?
It will also make things easier in PvP, as you can coordinate your attacks better, and claim resources for the guild. Gold is nice, even MoneyMarco can’t deny. But how do you get it? There are a few good ways to earn money, and I will cover some of. A simple way is to loot any enemy you defeat and different containers in the vuide, and then sell the loot to a merchant.
It works, but it can be very slow. I do recommend looting enemies. Upgrading your inventory at begiers bag merchant or via riding skills makes this a lot easier to. Always pick up soul gems, as they are very expensive to buy and you’ll lose money that way since you need lots of soul gems for PvP.
Lockpicks are also great to have, and they won’t take up much space. To save time when looting containers, avoid looting sacks and baskets. Instead, go for the boxes, cupboards, wardrobes, chests.
Backpacks are very nice, as you can fine recipes and blueprints in them as. If you like crafting, you can try crafting your own armor, weapons, or furniture, to either sell to a merchant or to other players.
Harvesting crafting materials is a time consuming chore and thus a slow way of earning money, although you do get the extra experience from the crafting. In my opinion, stealing is the best way of earning large amounts of gold quickly.
You beginegs either steal from various houses and strongboxes in the towns, or try and pick some pockets. Picking pockets is a bit risky, since you get a bounty if you are discovered, and lose all stolen items if a guard arrests or kills you. I prefer breaking into locked houses. There are special items marked as treasure, which are worth a lot. The most common tiers are worth 40, and eso beginers guide to making money, although there are super rare treasures worth gold, but I haven’t seen one of those so far.
These are the only stolen items worth picking up, unless you find a recipe, or blueprint which can be worth a lot on the market. If you don’t want to risk breaking in to a house or don’t have enough lockpicks, looting any of the ships you find at the docks ot larger cities will give you a fair amount of treasure as. Stolen items can be sold or laundered making them legal to a fence at the outlaw’s refuge in major cities. Note that this guide is only for making quick money.
Feel free to pick up other items than those listed here if you want. The Legerdemain skill line will help you improve your stealing. In earlyplayer houses were added to the game. These can be found all over Tamriel and are bound to your account, so all characters share.
Before you can buy your own house, you majing to finish a quest given to you by Canthion in the banks of Daggerfall, Vulkhel Guard or Davon’s Watch. The quest will give you your very first home for free! The fun doesn’t end there! Throughout the world, you can find furniture or furnishing recipes, which you can use to craft your own furniture to decorate your home. Furniture come in 6 different types, depending on where they are crafted. They are all crafted in the same crafting stations as armor, weapons, potions, food and glyphs, but some recipes require you to have a certain skills in multiple crafting areas.
While in your house, you can give permission for your friends to visit you, or even help you decorate the place. There are 6 types of crafting, as mentioned in the previous section; blacksmithing, clothing, woodworking, enchanting, alchemy and provisioning. In order to become a master crafter, you need neginers spend quite a few points in the various skill lines, so I’d recommend creating one character who can master all of the skills, and then provide armor and weapons to the rest of your characters.
In order to craft armor and weapons, you need either metal, hide, cloth or wood. They are available in many different tiers, depending on your level. They can then be refined at their respective crafting station, and used for crafting.
But you’ll need one more thing before you can create your masterpiece; a style material. Each playable race in Tamriel has their own style material, to craft their type of armor.
This only affect the appearance of the armor, so you can still wear Khajiit armor on your Redguard. These can be found everywhere in the world, in containers. In the beginning you can only craft the style of your character’s race, but throughout the world you will find motifs for the other races and even some for completely different styles, such as Daedric or Barbarian.
Press ‘E’ on these motifs in the inventory to learn how to craft. It’s just like learning a new recipe. Some items also have a trait, which you can research in their crafting station.
Each trait also has a specific material needed in order to apply it to a crafted item.
Yes No. There are plenty of ways to make ugide — if you want to. Design your main character to kill, kill, kill. Get yourself to the Public Test Server and play around with the big updates. Kill every monster.
